About Us

The Laryngology Society South Africa strives to advance knowledge and practice in the field of laryngology through education and research. We collaborate with various special interest groups and linked organisations with a shared goal.
Our mission is to promote best practice training and treatment of laryngeal structure, function and disorder; liaise with other laryngology organisations worldwide; advocate with government and health providers; and host meetings, workshops, conventions and other educational activities to foster the development of basic sciences and clinical practice. The society plans to hold a major meeting at least every X years, with the option to hold annual meetings or smaller events in collaboration with other groups, as determined by the Committee.

Our Mission

Our primary focus as members of the Laryngology Society SA is to host meetings where those interested in Laryngology can exchange ideas and knowledge on clinical practice, share research papers and network with like-minded organisations from around the world.
Our meetings aim to provide an invaluable opportunity for both our members and international organisations to gain insight and information, with the aim of inspiring greater collaboration and innovation in the field of Laryngology.
